Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Resuzen, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

These terms apply to all visitors and users, whether using the service as a guest or as a registered account holder.

Description of Service

Resuzen is a web-based resume builder that allows users to create, edit, preview, and export professional resumes. The service is provided as-is and may be updated, changed, or discontinued at any time.

Guest mode allows use without an account, with data stored in your browser's local storage only. Registered accounts provide cloud storage and cross-device sync.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for all content you enter into Resuzen. You represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to use it.

You agree not to use Resuzen to create resumes containing false credentials, fabricated employment history, or fraudulent information intended to deceive employers.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at jonathancontreras@resuzen.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Permitted Use

Resuzen is intended for personal, non-commercial use to create and manage your own resumes. You may not use the service to create resumes on behalf of others for payment without prior written consent.

You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract content or functionality from the service in ways that exceed normal use.

Automated access (bots, scripts) that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure is prohibited.

Intellectual Property

The Resuzen application, its design, code, and branding are the intellectual property of Resuzen and its creator. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the application without permission.

The content of your resume — your work history, skills, and personal details — belongs entirely to you. Resuzen claims no ownership over the content you create.

The LaTeX templates used to render your resume are provided under their respective open-source licenses. Your exported PDF is yours to use freely.

Disclaimers

Resuzen is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that exported resumes will produce any particular employment outcome.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure PDF exports are accurate and well-formatted, but we are not responsible for typesetting errors, rendering differences across PDF viewers, or ATS parsing outcomes.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Resuzen and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim. For free-tier users, this limit is $0.

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your account data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated date at the bottom of this page reflects when changes were last made. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

For material changes, we will make a reasonable effort to notify registered users by email.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Resuzen shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before any formal legal proceedings.
