Privacy Policy

We believe privacy is a right, not a feature. Here's exactly how Resuzen handles your data — plainly and honestly.

Last updated: March 2026

01

Information We Collect

When you use Resuzen in guest mode, all resume data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage. We do not transmit or store this data on our servers.

If you create an account, we collect your email address and the resume data you choose to save. This is stored securely in our database using Supabase with row-level security, meaning only you can access your own data.

We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics — such as which features are used and general navigation patterns. This data contains no personally identifiable information and helps us improve the product.

02

How We Use Your Information

Your resume data is used solely to power the resume builder. We use it to render your resume, generate PDF exports, and sync your work across devices if you have an account.

Your email address is used for authentication and, occasionally, to send important product updates. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.

Anonymous analytics data is used internally to understand how the product is being used and where improvements are needed. It is never shared with or sold to third parties.

03

Data Storage & Security

Account data is stored in Supabase, a managed database platform with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Row-level security policies ensure that each user's data is isolated and inaccessible to other users.

Guest mode data lives entirely in your browser's local storage and is never transmitted to our servers. Clearing your browser data will permanently delete it.

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your Resuzen account.

04

Third-Party Services

Supabase — used for authentication and database storage for registered users. Subject to Supabase's privacy policy.

PostHog — used for anonymous product analytics. No personally identifiable information is sent. Subject to PostHog's privacy policy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

05

Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. We will permanently remove your data within 30 days of receiving your request.

You can export all of your resume data as a JSON file directly from the builder at any time — no account deletion required.

If you are in the EU or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

06

Cookies

We use a minimal number of cookies — primarily for authentication session management when you are logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

Our analytics provider (PostHog) may use a first-party cookie to distinguish unique visitors. This cookie does not contain personally identifiable information.

07

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the bottom of this page. Continued use of Resuzen after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

For significant changes that affect how we handle your personal data, we will notify registered users by email.
